The McWave Economic Education Center blends key components of education to create state-of-the-art learning facilities where students apply concepts they learn in the classroom, that align with Alabama Education Standards, in a capstone immersive experience.
JA Biztown
JA BizTown is an unmatched learning experience where sixth grade students interact within a simulated economy and take on the role of employee, taxpayer, and consumer.
JA Finance Park
JA Finance Park is an immersive program where eighth graders create and maintain a household budget. Students have the rare opportunity to experience their personal financial futures today

Imagine a sixth grader given an opportunity to manage their own business, run for elected office, purchase their first car and follow a stock portfolio; all while being faced with real-life adult decisions about career choice, money management, and ethical business practices.
Now imagine that these students face these new and exciting challenges in a colorful and bustling 28,000 square feet facility with unique storefronts in a real-life replica of an American city. Welcome to the Junior Achievement McWane Economic Education Center. Built just for them and other young people their age and equipped with the latest interactive technology!
